Last year, the Sue Thomas F.B.Eye Fan Convention was able to donate $3200 to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides for their Hearing Ear Dog program, and the Deaf Culture Centre for their ASL Dictionary for Children. Of course, we must thank everyone for their generosity, we couldnt have done it without your help!
This years auction is now up and running, and we hope that we can count on your generosity once again. Just like last year, the money raised will be donated in full to the charities we support. We have already raised $550 during the Convention, we can certainly raise more than that with fans from all around the world! Wouldnt it be amazing to gather even more money than last time? The charities would be thrilled!
Dont wait too long, or youll miss your last chance to get an autographed memorabilia from your favourite TV show. We have pictures, DVDs, even a copy of a rare script from the pilot episode, autographed by the seven main actors! Special items for the die-hard fan, you cant miss this! We have eleven (11) packages that are being offered in an online auction. For this auction, we use the well-known eBay, a service most of you are probably already familiar with. How it works: It is really easy. The auction has begun on Thursday July 16, 2009. Please click on the links below to access the appropriate page for each package. You can also search directly on eBay using the keywords Sue Thomas F.B.Eye Fan Convention or click on this link. Place your bids you can bid as much as you want, sky is the limit! Please remember that a bid is a legal binding contract if you are the winner, you will have to pay. The auction will close on Sunday July 26, 2009 (check the listings for the exact ending time). The highest bidder for each package will be the winner!
Payment: Due to time constraints, payments will be accepted through PayPal only. Since this is directly linked to eBay, you will need a PayPal account. Please visit PayPals website www.paypal.com for more information. They will ask for banking and/or credit information, but they will never share this information with us. Its absolutely safe. Important information for the winners: payment is expected within three days after the end of the auction. If you foresee any problem that would prevent you from paying on time, please contact us before placing your bid.
Shipping and fees: Please, dont forget that this auction acts as a fundraising activity the whole value of the winning bids will be donated to the charities the Convention supports. In order to achieve this, we have to charge the fees eBay and PayPal impose on us to the winners the Convention is still a small organisation and cannot absorb this expense. These fees are included in the shipping charges. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but thank you for your understanding. We use XpressPost for all destinations in Canada, and Expedited Parcel for all destinations in the United States. These services offer a rapid delivery, with an online tracking number and a basic coverage up to $100. For winners in other countries, we recommend XpressPost, but please contact us to discuss the shipping options. Of course, if you win more than one package, we will be happy to combine the shipping (and offer you big savings!).
