Q. Why do
I have to register?
A. There is a lot of logistics involved in an event like this Convention.
We need to know in advance how many people will be present to set
up the meeting rooms accordingly, to prepare the welcome packages,
etc.

Q. How will
you know if I registered, or if I'm just sneaking?
A. Everyone will have to wear a special badge to be allowed in the
rooms where the Convention will take place. Walk-in admission will
not be permitted. No exception.

Q. Is there
any specific dress code?
A. Casual clothes sound perfect.

Q. Am I
certain to see my favourite actor / actress?
A. Unfortunately, no. All the actors from the main cast - along
with many others - have been invited, but we won't know until the
very last minute if they will attend the Convention. We certainly
hope some of them will be present, but there is no guarantee.

Q. I don't
want to visit this website every day. How can I find out what's
going on?
A. Well, that's a shame
This website is still the best place
to look for information related to the Convention. However, to receive
the latest information directly to your email account, you can sign
up for the Official
Announcement List.

Q. Can I
make suggestions about the schedule and activities?
A. Of course. Please email us at convention_stfbe@hotmail.com
with your suggestions, and we'll see what we can do.

Q. I will
only be there on Saturday night. Can I get a reduced fee?
A. Unfortunately, no. The registration fees cover the whole weekend
and give you access to all the activities.

Q. My kids
love the show. Can I bring them with me?
A. A convention is not exactly the best place for children. However,
if you still want them to come, they will have to pay the regular
registration fee.

Q. What
happens if I can't come? Are registrations refundable?
A. Registrations will not be refunded, and cannot be transferred
to someone else. However, if you cannot attend, please let us know
as soon as possible. We will gather the items handed out to everyone
during the weekend, and we will mail them to you after the Convention.

Q. I'm
flying into Pearson International Airport. What is the easiest way
to get to the hotel?
A. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport.
Please check the hotel
page for more information.

Q. I'll
be taking the train, or I'll be flying into Downtown Toronto. Is
there a convenient way to get to the hotel?
A. Actually, it's a little more complicated coming from Downtown.
Pacific
Western Airport Express offers a shuttle from Downtown to Pearson
Airport for less than $20. Public
transportation also has a few routes (with subways and buses)
that will take you to the airport for less than $5. Then you can
take the shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Or you could take
a taxi, but be prepared to pay $50 for the ride.

Q. Do I
need a car?
A. All the activities for the Convention will take place at the
hotel. However, if you want to do some tourist activities before
or after the Convention, there are different car rental options.
The airport offers most rental companies; you can check with the
concierge at the hotel, or there is an Enterprise
Rent-a-Car office just across the street.

Q. I just
realised there are no meals included with the Convention. Where
am I supposed to eat?
A. The Chardonnay Grill & Lounge offers diversified cuisine
directly at the hotel. If you want to go out, just across the street,
there are different restaurants, including A&W, Subway, New
York Fries, Montana's, Kelsey's and Teriyaki Experience. There are
also many more restaurants within a walking or a short driving distance
from the hotel.

Q. Is the
breakfast included with the hotel room rate?
A. Only the Deluxe King Room includes the breakfast buffet for one,
at the Chardonnay Grill & Lounge. There are no meals included
with the other rates, but the restaurant is open to everyone.

Q. I have
pets, and I don't want to leave them home. Can they come with me?
A. The hotel is animal friendly - that means they will accept pets
in the guest rooms, with additional charges. Please check their
pet policy for more details, because some areas are still off-limits
to animals, and this includes the meeting rooms.

Q. I'm deaf
(or blind), and I have a service dog. How will the pet policy apply
to me and my dog?
A. Service dogs, with proper identification, do not have the same
restrictions. Please let us know about it, and contact the hotel
to check if you need any special arrangements.

Q. Is the
hotel handicap friendly?
A. Yes. The hotel has specially adapted rooms, elevators and ramps.
When you book your room, please inform the hotel if you have any
special needs.

Q. My budget
is limited, and I would like to find a roommate. Can you help me?
A. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for that. Why don't
you try and make contact with people on the Discussion
List? Maybe someone else is in the same situation, and when
you get to know each other, you could make private arrangements
